Account Deletion Request

File a formal request to permanently delete your LawyerSpot account and associated personal data, in line with applicable Indian data protection law.

Before you file

What happens when your account is deleted

  1. Your request is logged

    Once submitted, your request is recorded with a case reference and routed to our data protection desk. You'll get a confirmation email at the address on file within 24 hours.

  2. Your profile stops being visible

    Your public profile, saved lawyers, consultation history, and messages are deactivated immediately and removed from search within 48 hours.

  3. Personal data is erased within 30 days

    Name, contact details, documents you've uploaded, and case notes are permanently deleted from our active systems within 30 days of confirmation.

  4. Some records are retained where law requires it

    Billing records and consultation logs tied to a paid engagement may be retained for a limited period to meet tax and consumer-protection obligations. See the table below for specifics.
