  1. Who these terms apply to

These terms apply to anyone using the LawyerSpot app or website: clients looking for legal help, and lawyers listing their services. Creating an account means you accept these terms in full.

  2. What LawyerSpot is — and isn't

LawyerSpot is a marketplace that connects clients with independent, licensed lawyers. We facilitate discovery, booking, and payment for consultations.

LawyerSpot is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Every lawyer on the platform practices independently and is solely responsible for the advice they give.
  3. Your account

    • You must be 18 or older to create an account.
    • You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
    • Information you provide must be accurate and kept up to date.
    • One account per person; we may suspend duplicate or impersonated accounts.
  4. Lawyer listings and verification

Lawyers must provide a valid Bar Council enrollment number and supporting documents before their profile is listed. We review these at onboarding, but we don't independently audit every case a lawyer handles afterward.

If you believe a lawyer's credentials are misrepresented, report it and we'll investigate and remove the listing if warranted.

  5. Bookings and payments

    • Consultation fees are set by each lawyer and shown before you book.
    • Payments are processed through our third-party payment partner; LawyerSpot does not store your card or UPI details.
    • A platform fee may be added to bookings, shown transparently at checkout.
  6. Cancellations and refunds

    • Cancel a booking more than 4 hours before the scheduled time for a full refund.
    • Cancellations within 4 hours may be charged a partial fee, set by the lawyer.
    • If a lawyer cancels or doesn't show up, you get a full refund automatically.
  7. Acceptable use

    You agree not to:

    • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or to harass another user.
    • Circumvent the platform to pay a lawyer directly after being introduced through LawyerSpot, within 90 days of first contact.
    • Upload false documents or misrepresent your identity or legal matter.
    • Scrape, copy, or resell listings or content from the platform.
  8. Liability

LawyerSpot facilitates the connection between clients and lawyers but is not a party to the legal advice given. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the platform fee paid for the relevant booking.

  9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the account deletion page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical.

  10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will first go through good-faith negotiation, and if unresolved, fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ernakulam, Kerala.

  11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. We'll update the date at the top of this page and notify you in-app for any material change.
